Thanks for the link, I just ordered mine. So, do you normally bolus after your runs? If so, how do you know how much or do you use the wizard?
COOLIO - I just got a UPS confirmation, and should be uploading data with the USB device sooner than the expected 6 weeks… as in NEXT WEEK!
Rob - I do normally bolus at the end of a run - I usually do it with about 5 minutes of the run remaining, and it’s usually 1 to 2 units depending on my current BG and upward/downward trend (did I mention I LOVE CGMS), and the length of time that’s passed since my last GU gel. If I happen to give too much insulin… in my book, no problem because I’m usually hungry after runs anyway!
Wow - this is great, thanks!
Got mine in the mail today. Huge shipping box for a little Package.
I just ordered mine too, Thanks Jamie!
I got mine without even knowing that it was available!!! I went to a Pumping Class and the CDE nurse gave me one!!! How cool is that!
Wow, that is WAY cool Kathy! They are really getting the word out about it by giving them away in person and online. Good way to get people off the meter they had been using, I guess.
It’s a nice concept, but it’s a shame they did not configure it to communicate with the Paradigm Link meter. Think I’ll stick with he cable that came with the meter to download both my pump and my meter.
Well, given that they are discontinuing the Paradigm Link meter, it’s not too surprising… To be honest, that meter is inferior anyway, so I’ve never used it for anything other than uploading my pump data.
Good point though, it will be interesting to see if the new meter option they offer links with the Carelink USB wirelessly… And if it’s a lifescan meter, as reported, it may be worth taking a look at.
