OK, I’ve taken the challenge. However, it doesn’t seem like enough of a challenge for me. I’ll probably be at 1500 miles by the end of this year, probably by tonight, actually. I had 1565 in 2006 and 1338 in 2005. I’ve been inconsistent in keeping records from year to year, and I used to do it all on paper. But I have the records for 1785 miles in 2002.
So I put two “DR1K”s side by side, signifying that I’ll be trying to reach 200 miles in 2008. That’s a challenge. I’ll try to put that up later today.

Great blog. I love the run calendar and the average blood sugar data. Very nice.

You know that I am in.

I should make 1900 miles this year.

It is the time of year when we are examining ourselves and our goals. We use this introspective time to set new or different goals for the next year.

One of my goals has become running 1,000 miles for Diabetes awareness.

Thanks for the chance!

Charlie

WHOA! You guys are making me look bad! Just kidding, but you are certainly running an AMAZING number of miles! Thanks for signing up, it means a lot to me to help “get out the word.” And who knows, next year I may add another challenge for you two: DRDBM - Diabetic Runner Death By Miles

Cheers, and happy new year (of running) to you!

Jamie

Excellent idea! Count me in for 500 (only because this year I ran like crazy and did not meet 1000).

I’m in for 500 and I love the idea! I’ll be blogging this soon…

I am also running my first marathon this year - Grandma’s (in Minnesota) in June. That alone should get me close to 500. Let’s go!
