No I didn’t fall off the treadmill after eating all those donuts, it was a legitimate earthquake.
And yes we felt it…. A couple of sharp bounces of the floor, and then as we ran to the kids room, it slowly rolled its way out.
It was a 5.6 with the epicenter about 50 KM away. Enough to get excited for a few minutes!!!

WOW - I can honestly say that I have never experienced an earthquake. Lucky you!
Jaime,
Earthquakes can be exciting, can’t they? We used to get some good sized ones out here in Rocky Mountain country. I remember sitting with my Mother in the dining room as a teenager when everything moved at once then kept going. Dishes falling in the china cabinet, items falling off the top of the table and the sideboards.
Then as an adult, I was putting a roof drainage system on a garage in Thornton when the garage started to move. Nothing like being on the edge of a roof in an earthquake. Thank goodness that it was minor and it was just a matter of holding on (for dear life)!
I am so glad that you and yours are OK. I also loved the donut button!

Hey guys, I should point out that I use the term excited to describe my heart and nerves…. It really gets the heart racing when an earthquake comes. Years ago when we moved to CA, I was looking forward to feeling an earthquake… then when I experienced my first one I realized there is nothing to look forward to - it’s a feeling of helplessness as you see how much power mother nature can unleash!! And everyone I’ve felt since makes me feel the same uneasiness - not the kind you might feel hanging off the side of a roof, but uneasy none the less!
